Confederate battle flag accidentally leads to small-scale construction boom

Summerville - A year ago, dozens marched to protest against the Confederate flag flew porch of a white woman in a historically black South. After someone threw a rock on the porch, has created a wooden framework. It was only the start of construction.

Earlier this year, Annie Chambers, neighbors Caddell built on two solid 8-foot high fences of wood on both sides of his modest brick house in the South to protect the flag in sight.

The end of summer, Caddell up a mast taller than the fences to display the flag. Then a similar post with a U.S. flag was placed through the fence into the neighbor's yard, James Patterson, who is black.
